LFSN Volleyball Season Update with Michelle Melendez

As the Liberty volleyball team prepares for the VCU Invitational, LFSN had a chance to catch up with senior defensive specialist Michelle Melendez.
Melendez, a native of Miami, Fla., is the lone senior on the Lady Flames' roster. She is in her second season at Liberty since transferring from Palm Beach State. She is currently ranked second on the team with 83 digs so far this season. Melendez tied her career high with 22 digs at Kennesaw State on Aug. 27, the most digs by a Lady Flame in a single match this year.
The Lady Flames (3-6) continue their season this weekend, competing in the VCU Invitational in Richmond, Va. Liberty is scheduled to face Morgan State on Friday at 3 p.m., before taking on Middle Tennessee and VCU on Saturday.
