Nick Pierce caught up with Liberty head volleyball coach Shane Pinder and Big South Defensive Player of the Week Loren Thomas for a pair of interviews.
The Lady Flames enter this week coming off of a 3-2 conference-opening win Friday at Radford in which Liberty set a program rally-scoring record with 20.5 team blocks. Thomas set a Liberty rally-scoring standard with 12 blocks at Radford, leading to her first conference weekly honor of the season.
Liberty returns to the Vines Center for a pair of Big South clashes this weekend, taking on UNC Asheville Friday at 7 p.m. before a 2 pm. match with Gardner-Webb Saturday.
