Today, LibertyFlames.com continues its weekly volleyball feature, "Side Out with …" Next up is another of the Lady Flames' newcomers, freshman defensive specialist Rebecca Warren.
Warren is one of three players on Liberty's 2008 roster who hails from Virginia, along with Courtney Cooper and Carmen Streeper. The Virginia Beach native started for the Greenbrier Christian Academy volleyball team for five seasons and was a two-time first-team all-state honoree.
Warren made her collegiate debut Sept. 5, during a 3-0 sweep of Saint Francis (Pa.) at the Patriot Invitational. She used her powerful jump serve to record two of the Lady Flames' nine aces against the Red Flash. Warren and the Lady Flames will return to action this Friday and Saturday, at the Varney's Kansas State Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
