Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University was the right place for me to work towards my degree and compete in sports. The God-centered culture allows me to grow in my faith and interact with other followers of Jesus. The variety of opportunities in the classroom will help me develop my skills in order to obtain a degree. Liberty University's athletics offers support to me in nutrition, academics, and athletic training so that I can perform to my highest potential.
Is there anything special you do premeet or postmeet and why?
After a swim meet I enjoy a meal with my teammates and a glass of chocolate milk. I do recovery stretches and relax my muscles with a massage gun. This post-meet recovery allows me to be ready for my next competition or swim practice.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My older sister Grace inspires me to spread kindness and to work hard. She inspires me because I see how her own work ethic in her swimming can enhance her skills in the pool and allow her to have success. Her kindness toward others is such an inspiration because it creates friendships and spreads positivity to the people around her.
