Kaitlyn McKay took over as the Lady Flames’ office administrator in February 2021. In this role, she is responsible for a number of duties, including the team’s budget, intercampus relations and Coach Green’s daily schedule.
The former Kaitlyn Young was a three-year member (2017-19) of the Liberty volleyball team, appearing in 53 total matches as a defensive specialist. During the 2019 season, McKay helped the Lady Flames win their first two postseason matches in program history and reach the NIVC quarterfinals.
A standout in the classroom, the Bowie, Md., native made two appearances on the ASUN Academic Honor Roll and one on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll during her career.
McKay graduated from Liberty in December 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in business. She finished with a 3.95 undergraduate GPA, earning summa cum laude honors.
McKay is married to Luke McKay, the son of Liberty Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay.
