Layla Scott (G, 5-7, Kansas City, Mo.)
Scott led Johnson County to a 69-2 record during her two seasons with the program, including a NJCAA Division II national title in 2024-25 and a third-place national finish in 2025-26. She was named NJCAA Tournament MVP as a freshman after tallying 25 points and six triples in the national title game against Pima.

What They're Saying About Layla Scott
"We're excited to welcome Layla Scott to Liberty. She's a proven winner with a championship background and has developed into an elite scorer, leading her team and knocking down 118 threes last season. Just as important, Layla is strong academically, grounded in her faith and brings a quiet confidence with a great personality. She's a perfect fit for our program, and we're excited for what's ahead."
Alexis Sherard, Liberty Women's Basketball Head Coach
"We've had 40-plus Division I players here, but I'm not sure anyone has ever impacted our program over two years like Layla. Liberty is getting a highly skilled shot maker and a fantastic young lady."
Ben Conrad, Johnson County Community College Women's Basketball Head Coach
