Alexandria Bream is another individual serving the Lady Flames in a new capacity this season. After four years on the court as a member of the team, Bream now joins the staff as a student assistant.
Bream appeared in 46 games during her first three seasons with the Lady Flames, before her career was cut short by an ACL injury. She was part of a six-member class which won 96 games and three Big South Championships during its four years with the program.
“It’s unfortunate that an injury prohibited Alex from continuing her contributions as a player,” noted head coach Carey Green. “However, we’re thankful that her experience, loyalty and dedication to our program continue in a different capacity. She is a great role model to our current players with her work ethic and dedication to our program.”
Bream, a native of Elizabethtown, Pa., comes from an athletic family. Her brother Doug and cousin Tyler are current members of the Liberty baseball team.
An exceptional student, Bream was a three-time member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll and helped the Lady Flames rank among the nation’s Top 25 women’s basketball teams in GPA three consecutive seasons. She is currently living in the Lynchburg area and completing the final requirements for her bachelor’s degree in nursing.
