Thomas Cromwell enters his third season with the Liberty basketball program after spending the past two years as a graduate assistant pursuing a master's of arts in human relations.
Ritchie McKay named Cromwell Director of Basketball Operations on March 29, 2007, filling the position vacated by Jason Eaker’s promotion to assistant coach.
“Tommy brings a lot of life and excitement into the job and program,” said McKay. “I look forward to working with him, while we build toward the future success of our program.”
Cromwell continues a family tradition with Liberty Basketball. His father, Jim Cromwell, was an assistant for the Flames under Jeff Meyer for three seasons from 1989-91.
Cromwell, a Jacksonville, Fla. native, graduated in 2005 with a bachelor of arts in history from Jacksonville University.
“This is a wonderful chance for me and I am extremely blessed to be a part of Coach McKay’s staff,” commented Cromwell. “This is a gracious opportunity Coach McKay has given to me and I look forward to being a part of the future of Liberty basketball.”
Cromwell currently resides in Lynchburg.
