What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The culture and the environment of the field hockey team.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents, because they had five kids and raised us all to be good people, and through their marriage they have shown me what true love and perseverance means.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning states sophomore year and placing second on the Spanish national team.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Lunch because you can sit down and talk with everyone and enjoy a good meal.

What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Cooking and singing

Rafael Nadal
What is your favorite possession and why?
My rosary because it helps me pray.

What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Spain, because that’s where my family is.
- Graduate of Frank W. Cox High School
- Spent the last three years playing field hockey at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Va. (originally from Madrid, Spain)
- Earned Region 5A first team and NFHCA Watchlist honors as a senior
- Helped her high school squad post a 13-7 record and reach the state quarterfinals during senior year
- Guided the Falcons to the state quarterfinals and a 12-5-1 overall mark
- Garnered first team all-state honors and Region 5A first team recognition as a sophomore
- Led Frank W. Cox to a Region 5 state title and 17-4 overall record in sophomore season
- A Madrid selection at the junior national level and placed second in the Spanish national tournament
- Competed for Jab Madrid Hockey from 2014-22 and has played for Focus Field Hockey for two years (2023-24) as well
- Helped Focus Field Hockey place seventh and ninth at the National Club Championship and qualified for the NIT both years while claiming Regional Club Championship crowns twice
- Daughter of Rafael Pardo de Santayana and Rocio Montero
- Intends on majoring in biomedical sciences (pre-med) along with global studies
