What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I chose Liberty, not only because I want to grow as an athlete, but also most importantly because I hope to deepen my faith and honor God alongside teammates and coaches who share that same goal. Liberty is a very special and unique place that truly trains champions for Christ.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom inspires me. She is an incredibly hard worker, and she is the most selfless person I know.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning the first district and state championship in my high school’s history was very memorable.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I chose #19 because it was my brother Evan’s soccer number. I wanted to follow in his footsteps.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My brother Trevor currently runs track at Elizabethtown College.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Walking with my dogs.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Daisy is my chocolate lab.

Sydney McLaughlin

- Graduate of West Perry High School
- Has competed at the USA Field Hockey Nexus Championships
- Guided her squad to a 75-19 combined record in four years and a state title (senior year, first in school history), two county tournament titles (senior and junior year), three Mid Penn Colonial Division crowns (sophomore through senior year) and a District I Class 1A crown (senior year)
- Earned several awards as a senior: Colonial Division first team All-Star, PHSFHCA All-State Class A first team All-Star, All-Pennsylvania Region second team and NFHCA All-Pennsylvania second team.
- Named a Colonial Division first team All-Star and PHSFHCA All-State Class A first team All-Star during junior season
- Tallied over 100 points in her four years with the West Perry Mustangs
- Tabbed a Colonial Division first team All-Star honoree and PHSFHCA All-State Class A second team All-Star as a sophomore
- Earned recognition as a Colonial Division second team All-Star during freshman campaign
- Competed at club level for PA Revolution (2019-25)
- Helped PA Revolution qualify for the National Club Championship in 2024
- Albright also competed in cross country (freshman and sophomore years), unified bocce ball (sophomore through senior years) and track & field (all four years) in high school
- Daughter of Charles and Carolyn Albright
- Brother, Trevor, is currently a member of the track & field team at Elizabethtown
- Intends on majoring in biomedical sciences
