Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
It has been my dream school since 7th grade. I lived in California until 10th grade, but my brother first introduced me to it as the top Christian school in the country and after that I knew that it was the school for me. I didn't even care what division Liberty basketball was, but that fact that it was the top Christian school sold me. Even though I got tempting offers from other schools, none could truly compare to Liberty.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why”
For pregame, I pray multiple times before to try and calm my nerves and afterwards, I praise God for the win and praise him for the loss.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
There are many people that inspire me like my family, but the person that keeps me going each and every day is God. I could not do it without Him as I have to look to Him daily for strength and encouragement. He is the only one that can truly fulfill me.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic moment was when my team won CIF my tenth-grade year.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
1 Timothy 1:17 is my favorite verse so that’s why I chose 17.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My cousin, Erin Stout, swam for the University of Maryland.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
For breakfast, egg and avocado spread on toast with biscuits and gravy. For lunch, a BLT with mac and cheese. For dinner, meatloaf, mash potatoes, and broccoli. For a special meal, pasta with meat sauce.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Messages or the Oura ring app.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Reading is my favorite hobby.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have two Doberman pinchers, Duke and Duchess.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Robert Griffin (RG3)
What is your favorite possession and why?
Probably my promise ring that my dad gave me. It represents two promises that I made to him and it’s a constant reminder that I am loved.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Prom Queen
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
France because I have always wanted to go to the Louvre where all the paintings are. I was home schooled for 8 years, and my mom taught me all about the different artists and so I would love to see the paintings in person. Also, I would love to try all the food there and to go shopping.
