Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, May 23, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
It's game day for the Lady Flames at the NCAA Softball Super Regionals! Liberty plays game one at No. 16 Oregon, tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern. The winner of the best-of-three series will go to the Women's College World Series. You can hear tonight's game and the entire series on the Liberty Flames mobile app and www.LibertyFlames.com. Jamie Hall will have the call on the Liberty Flames Sports Network from Van Wagner.
On to baseball, Thursday in Lynchburg, Louisiana Tech topped Liberty, 5-2 in the Conference USA Baseball Championship. With the loss, Liberty is eliminated from the tournament. The Flames end the season with a 30-27 record.
And 21 Liberty track & field athletes are headed to next week's NCAA Division I East First Rounds meet. The four-day event will take place May 28 through the 31st at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. The top 12 finishers in each event will advance to nationals.
