
Zayac Named to CUSA Baseball All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Liberty pitcher Bradley Zayac has been selected to the 2026 CUSA Baseball All-Academic team, the conference announced this afternoon.
The team honors players for their achievements both in the classroom and on the field. The CUSA squad is selected by a vote of the conference's academic coordinators.
Zayac enters the weekend with an 8-0 record with a 3.07 ERA over 70 1/3 innings. In his first season with the Flames, the sophomore right-hander has appeared in 13 games with 12 starts in 2026. He has struck out 58 batters and walked 15. He has held opponents to a .247 batting average and has posted a WHIP of 1.11.
Zayac is among the CUSA pitching leaders in several categories. He tops the conference in wins and enters the weekend among its leaders in ERA (6th), innings pitched (6th), WHIP (4th), strikeouts (9th), strikeout to walk ratio (7th) and fewest walks issued (5th).
The Chesapeake, Va., native has posted a 4.0 GPA in interdisciplinary studies. Zayac earned inclusion not only on the 2025-26 CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll but was rewarded with a Commissioner's Academic Medal, given to CUSA student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better.
