Blair Named CUSA Pitcher of the Week for 2nd Time
• After striking out a career-high 12, Ben Blair has been named the CUSA Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season on Monday. The right-hander earned the honor following a stellar opening to the season in a 7-3 victory over The Citadel on Feb. 13.
• This time, Blair struck out a career-high 12 in a 7-2 victory over Hofstra to run his record to 2-1 on the year. The right-hander gave up two runs on two hits over seven innings. He walked two batters in the contest, while posting his longest outing of 2026.
• The junior right-hander's 12-strikeout game eclipses his previous high of 11. Both totals were achieved in a six-inning effort in a 3-0 win over St. John's on Feb. 14, 2025, and a seven-inning outing in a 5-4, 10-inning victory versus Middle Tennessee on April 5, 2025.
• Blair combined with reliever Josh Swink to strike out a season-high 17 on Friday evening. The Gretna, Va. native helped the Liberty pitching staff finish the weekend with 28 total strikeouts.
