- The Lady Flames went 1-3 at the Liberty Softball Invitational over the weekend, while Michigan posted a 3-2 record at the Mizuno Classic in Charlottesville, with the Wolverines losing twice to No. 18 Virginia.
- Liberty overcame a 4-1 deficit in the bottom of the seventh, Friday against Radford. The Lady Flames got a two-run double from Savannah Jessee, before Brynn McManus won it, 5-4, with a two-run walk-off homer. On Sunday in Charlottesville, Va., Michigan led No. 18 Virginia 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh before the Cavaliers rallied for four runs in the seventh to earn a walk-off win over the Wolverines.
- Liberty is 2-1 against Michigan all-time, defeating the No. 6 Wolverines 2-0 on March 24, 2007 in Louisville, Ky., before splitting a pair of games with Michigan in 2020 in Columbia, S.C. In the last meeting, Liberty trailed 5-1 after four and a half innings, before Amber Bishop-Riley hit a three-run homer in the fifth and ended the game with a walk-off home run to lead off the bottom of the seventh.
- Alexia Carrasquillo batted .455 (5-for-11) with a homer at the Liberty Softball Invitational, while Avery Noel hit .333 (3-for-9) and started all four games at shortstop. Carrasquillo and Savannah Jessee have both recorded nine RBI in eight home games so far this season.
- Carrasquillo bats .333 for the year, with two homers and 12 RBI, as she had an eight-game hitting streak snapped on Saturday. North Carolina transfer (.321) leads the Lady Flames with 14 runs scored, while Jessee (.321) is tied with Carrasquillo for the team lead with 12 RBI.
- Seven different pitchers have seen action in the circle for Liberty this season. Danner Allen (2-0, 2.90 ERA) has earned a pair of relief victories this season over Radford and Syracuse, while Camden Anders (2-1, 4.26) pitched her first career complete game in a 3-2 win over Maryland, Feb. 21. Abigail Findlay (1-0, 3.65) earned a victory in her first career start, Feb. 20 against Toledo. Duke transfer Gabby Mike (1-5, 4.90) leads the team in starts and innings pitched. Two-time all-conference pitcher Kaylan Yoder earned the save on Feb. 20 against Toledo.
