- The Lady Flames have won five straight head-to-head matchups with the Lady Toppers. However, four of those contests have been decided by single digits, including Liberty's dramatic 55-53 triumph at WKU on Jan. 22.
- Liberty is 6-2 this month, fueled by a strong defense. The Lady Flames are allowing only 50.9 ppg in February. Liberty has held four of its last five opponents below the 50-point mark, limiting Middle Tennessee to a season-low output during Thursday's 65-37 win.
- Emmy Stout paced the Lady Flames with 14 points against Middle Tennessee on Thursday, finishing as the team's leading scorer for the fifth time in six games. She went for 19 points and 11 boards at WKU, tallying eight fourth-quarter points.
- Leading scorer Avery Mills (15.2 ppg), who will celebrate her 20th birthday on Saturday, returned to action Thursday after missing the previous five games due to injury. She contributed 14 points and four triples to Liberty's win at WKU, including the game-winning three-pointer with 9.1 seconds remaining.
- Liberty and Western Kentucky both have plenty to play for on Saturday when it comes to CUSA tournament seeding.
- The Lady Flames will look to lock in a top-six seed and the accompanying bye into the quarterfinal round with a victory. Meanwhile, WKU currently sits one game behind the 10th and final qualifying spot for the tournament.
- Liberty has gone 2-0 in CUSA play vs. an opponent 14 times (including vs. Missouri State, New Mexico State and UTEP this season), while going 0-2 only twice (vs. MTSU in 2023-24 and vs. FIU this season). The Lady Flames will attempt to go 2-0 vs. WKU for the second year in a row.
- Liberty has won four straight home games, while the Lady Toppers bring a three-game winning streak to Lynchburg. WKU snapped an eight-game road losing skid with its 73-71 triumph at Delaware on Thursday.
- Each of the last two Liberty-WKU matchups in Lynchburg has seen a significant comeback. The Lady Toppers came back from a 13-point halftime deficit to spoil Liberty's CUSA debut with a 68-66 decision on Jan. 6, 2024. Last season (March 8, 2025), Liberty trailed WKU by 14 in the second quarter of both teams' regular-season finale before rallying to post a 74-70 victory and clinch a share of the CUSA regular-season title. Six of eight all-time meetings between Liberty and WKU have been decided by seven points or fewer.
- Liberty is off to a 6-2 start in its first eight games this month after going 1-5 during its last six January tilts.
- During February, the Lady Flames are holding opponents to 50.9 ppg on 32.8 percent field goal shooting. Liberty held three straight opponents below 50 points (UTEP, New Mexico State and Missouri State) for the first time since a three-game stretch spanning Dec. 18, 2021-Jan. 5, 2022.Â
- The Lady Flames, who have won each of their last four games at Liberty Arena, will close the regular season with a pair of home contests.
- Despite owning a 4-3 record in CUSA home games this year, the Lady Flames are 43-6 all-time in conference games at Liberty Arena, including 24-1 in the ASUN and 19-5 in CUSA.Â
- Liberty is 7-5 at home overall this season, pushing its all-time mark at Liberty Arena to 72-14.Â
- Liberty has been successful during its first three years of CUSA membership, headlined by its regular-season and tournament titles in 2024-25.
- The Lady Flames are 41-15 versus CUSA foes over the last three seasons, including 36-14 in conference play, 5-1 in the CUSA Championship, 19-5 at home and 17-9 on the road.
- Liberty is one win away from recording its 27th consecutive season with 10 or more conference victories.
- Liberty set program records for three-pointers made (267) and three-point field goal percentage (36.9) last season. Despite losing 75.7 percent of their triples from 2024-25, the Lady Flames have been proficient from beyond the arc once again this year.
- Liberty tops CUSA and ranks No. 29 nationally for three-point field goal percentage at 35.4. The Lady Flames have hit eight more triples than their opponents this season (179 to 171) on 78 fewer attempts.
