Notes and Nuggets
- Stout (16 points, 10 rebounds) fashioned her fourth double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. She also eclipsed the 500-point mark for her career in the process.
- Leon (11 points) scored in double figures for the third time during her freshman season but the first in a CUSA game. Her three assists matched a career high.
- All nine of Nwaobi's points came from long range, as she hit as many triples on Thursday (3) as she had in her first 19 career appearances combined (3). After starting her career 1-of-18 from beyond the arc, the reigning CUSA Freshman of the Week is now 5-of-6 over the last three outings.
- Liberty connected on its first five free throw attempts of the night, finishing off a streak of 19 straight made foul shots dating back to the third quarter at Jax State a week ago (Feb. 5).
- The Lady Flames made exactly half of their three-point tries on Thursday, just as they did at UTEP on Jan. 4. That day, Liberty knocked down a season-best 12 three-pointers. Liberty is now hitting triples at a 36.4 percent clip this year, just off the program single-season record (36.9 percent) the Lady Flames set in 2024-25.
- Thursday marked the first time Liberty has not trailed in a game since its Jan. 4 visit to UTEP.
- Liberty owned a 37-23 halftime lead after its highest-scoring half since a 37-point second half at Delaware on Jan. 17.
- The Lady Flames have won back-to-back home games for the first time since opening the year with consecutive victories over Frostburg State (Nov. 4) and East Carolina (Nov. 7). Liberty is now 5-5 at Liberty Arena this year, moving to 70-14 all-time at the sixth-year facility and 41-6 in conference play.
- Liberty's 3-1 start to February gives the Lady Flames a 24-3 record in their last 27 February contests. Liberty is allowing just 54.8 ppg at the defensive end this month.
