No. 21 UNCG Downs Liberty 3-1

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Two second-half goals propelled the No. 21 UNCG Spartans past the Liberty 3-1, handing the Flames their first loss of the season Friday evening at Osborne Stadium.

Liberty tied the game 1-1 late in the first half as midfielder Aidan Morrison scored the Flames' lone goal of the match during the 38^th minute.

In the second half, the visiting Spartans took a 2-1 advantage during the 60^th minute. Later, UNCG upped its lead to 3-1 during the 71^st minute on Steven Hernandez's second goal of the game.

Liberty drops to 4-1-2 on the year. UNCG moves to 5-1-1.
