The host Deacons converted a penalty kick less than two minutes into the match and another penalty kick in the 16th minute to take control of the contest early.
Liberty was able to put six shots on goal. However, Wake Forest goalkeepers Jonah Mednard and Owen Barnett stopped each attempt to hold the Flames scoreless.
The match finishes Liberty's non-conference schedule as the Flames fall to 4-2-2 with their first loss on the road this year. Wake Forest moves to 4-1-3.
