
18 LUFH Players Tabbed to BIG EAST All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A total of 18 Liberty field hockey players were tabbed to the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, announced by the league on Monday.
Reagan Underwood makes her fifth straight BIG EAST All-Academic Team recognition. Meanwhile, Ellie Livingston has earned a spot on the listing four times. The Lady Flames have featured 181 BIG EAST All-Academic Team members in nine years in the conference.
In total, 165 student-athletes from the league's eight field hockey teams were represented on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team. To be eligible for this honor, nominees must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 for the preceding school year and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses. Nominees are permitted to be enrolled less than full-time if they are in their final semester or quarter of their baccalaureate program or the final term before an experiential learning requirement (e.g., student teaching, internship, clinical, capstone project, etc.).
Liberty achieved a 3.67 team GPA during the 2024-25 school year and currently holds a 3.53 cumulative GPA. In its nine years in the BIG EAST, the Lady Flames have won two championship titles and three regular season crowns and hold a 55-13 record in regular season league games.
Overall, 3,123 BIG EAST student-athletes earned all-academic team honors. Nominations for the BIG EAST All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the conference's 11 member schools and six affiliate institutions.
