
Liberty Lacrosse Features Three on CSC Academic All-District Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty lacrosse's Katie Colavito, Kendall Coss and Mackenzie Lehman each received selections to the 2024-25 College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team for their efforts in the classroom, as released today by CSC.
Colavito and Coss earned their second straight selections to the CSC Academic All-District® team, while Lehman is a first-time honoree. To earn inclusion on the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a starter or key reserve, have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games, or have started 66 percent of the team's total games and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
All three student-athletes are now eligible for consideration for the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Team, with voting beginning today for the teams. The first, second, and third team Academic All-America honorees for the at-large division will be released on July 16.
Colavito collected a 3.88 cumulative GPA in her major of exercise science: fitness. The junior was chosen to the Atlantic Sun All-Academic this season. Along with a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team last season, she has earned the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal in both 2024 and 2025.
The midfielder starred for Liberty last season, receiving accolades as the ASUN Midfielder of the Year, the ASUN Championship MVP and was a USA Lacrosse All-American honorable mention. Colavito made an impact everywhere on the field, recording 38 goals and 17 assists for 55 points. She was second in ASUN (regular season) with 39 caused turnovers (1.95 per game), second on the team and seventh in the ASUN (regular season) with 76 draw controls.
Coss earned a 3.90 cumulative GPA in her major of law and policy: pre-law. The junior received the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal in both 2024 and 2025.
The midfielder played in all 20 games for Liberty, making one start. Coss scored a career-high 15 goals and 18 points. She tallied 14 ground balls and forced 10 caused turnovers.
Lehman rounded out her five-year playing career with Liberty this season with a master's certificate in nutrition with a 3.92 GPA. She was also selected to the ASUN All-Academic team this season and is a two-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll member. She has been included in five conference academic honor rolls with three ASUN and two CUSA selections.
The attacker finished the 2025 season second on the team with 54 goals and 72 points with 18 assists, receiving a selection to the ASUN All-Conference second team and the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game. Lehman finished her career as the program leader in goals with 170.
