Liberty Softball Earns Best-Ever End-of-Season National Rankings

Following the best season in program history, the Liberty softball team received Top 25 rankings from all four major polls.Â
The Lady Flames were ranked No. 15 in both the Softball America Top 25 Poll and D1Softbal Top 25. Liberty was voted No. 16 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll and 17th in the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.
Liberty's end-of-season rankings are their best in program history in all four major national polls. For the first time in program history, Liberty has been ranked in the Top 25 in all four major polls in the same week.  Â
This is the fourth time in program history (also 2021, 2023 and 2024) that Liberty has appeared in at least one Top 25 poll to end a season. It is also the 13th time this year that Liberty has been in the Top 25.Â
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA's Division I Conferences.Â
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of National and Local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames finished the season with a 50-15 record, setting a new program record for single-season victories. Liberty won both the Conference USA regular-season and tournament titles for the second year in a row. The team made history at the 2025 NCAA Bryan-College Station Regional, winning two out of three games against No. 1 Texas A&M to earn its first-ever Super Regional appearance. The Lady Flames were the first team in the Super Regional era to knock out the No. 1 national seed in the Regional round. Liberty then traveled to Oregon to compete in the Eugene Super Regional.Â
