The Lady Flames (44-11, 23-3 CUSA) did not allow a single run this weekend in the three-game sweep. Liberty will be the No. 1 seed for the CUSA Softball Championship. FIU ends its season at 29-22-1, 11-15-1 in conference play.

Turning Point
- The Lady Flames left the bases loaded in both the first and second innings, but Liberty scored three times in the third to take control of the game.
- With Liberty leading, seniors Rachel Roupe and Alyssa Henault homered back-to-back to make it 7-0. Senior Paige Bachman pitched a 1-2-3 inning to complete the shutout.
- Liberty outhit FIU 9-1 for the game. The Lady Flames left eight runners compared to six stranded by the Panthers.
- Kaylan Yoder (9-4) earned the win, allowing one hit, walking three, hitting three and striking out four in 5 1/3 innings. Paige Bachman retired all five batters she faced in relief.
- Kennedy Byrd (11-13) drew the loss, allowing five runs on six hits, walking four in four innings. Megan Kruger pitched two innings of relief.
- Rachel Roupe went 2-for-2 with a homer, one RBI and one run scored, while KK Madrey batted 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Savannah Jessee batted 1-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Alyssa Henault and Savannah Woodard both went 1-for-4, while Henault homering. Brooke Roberts went 1-for-3 and scored twice, while Lilly Heidorn registered her 10th stolen base of the season.
- The Lady Flames are now 5-1 all-time against FIU, with all five meetings coming since Liberty joined CUSA.
- Liberty has won all 17 CUSA series since joining the conference prior to the 2024 season. The Lady Flames have won nine by sweep and eight by 2-1 finals.
- The team has not allowed a single run in the last 21 2/3 innings. This in the fifth time in program history, and first since 2024 against Louisiana Tech, that the Lady Flames have not allowed a single run in a full three-game series.
- The Lady Flames are now 24-3 at Liberty Softball Stadium this season, tying the program single-season record for home wins (24-2 in 2019).
- Liberty's 23 CUSA wins are the most by a Conference USA team in league history. FAU went 22-2 in league play in 2016 and DePaul was 22-2 in 2003.

Liberty will open the 2025 CUSA Softball Championship on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Serving as the No. 1 seed, the Lady Flames will take on the winner of the 4/5 matchup, which takes place on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET. The 2025 CUSA Softball Championship will be hosted by Western Kentucky.
