
Joy Named to PING All-Region Team

Following a career season, Liberty's Ike Joy has been named to the 2025 PING All-Region East Team, presented annually by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Players across six regions and 82 schools earned all-region honors in 2025.

With his selection to the PING All-Region team, Liberty has had a golfer named to the All-Region team each of the last 16 seasons. A total of 14 different players have been named to a PING All-Region team in program history.

The redshirt junior had a banner season in 2024-25. Joy led the Flames with a 71.26 season stroke average, lowering his career stroke average to 72.56.

The native of Denver, N.C., played 15-of-27 rounds at par or better this year (55.6 percent) and posted eight sub-70 rounds.ย

Joy was named to the All-CUSA first-team squad and was twice named CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week. He was also named to the CUSA Men's Golf All-Academic Team, the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll and the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal listing.

Joy is currently ranked No. 189 in the latest Scoreboard powered by Clippd national individual rankings.

Because of his top 200 national ranking, Joy individually qualified for NCAA Regional play. Joy finished the NCAA Amherst Regional tied for 46th place with an 8-over par 218 (75-72-71), an event Liberty hosted at the Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va.

This was Joy's second-straight appearance in an NCAA Regional and gives the Flames an individual or team at an NCAA Regional each season since 2009.
