
Women’s Tennis Hosts Western Kentucky in Final Home Match

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty (9-11, 3-1 CUSA) prepares its final regular season home match, welcoming Western Kentucky (13-7, 2-1 CUSA) on Saturday at noon. The match from the Liberty Tennis Complex will be streamed live via SwingVision.
Liberty is coming off a 1-1 week in Miami, Fla. The team fell 4-0 at No. 46 FIU on Friday and topped New Mexico State 4-1 in a neutral-site match on Saturday.
The No. 1 doubles pair of Daniella O'Neill and Maria Turchetto were recognized for their 2-0 weekend with their second consecutive Conference USA Doubles Pair of the Week award. The duo topped Panthers' Valery Gynina & Ekaterina Khairutdinova, 7-5 and edged the Aggies' Anna Pinaieva and Nadia Nemeth 6-4.
The Lady Flames currently look to continue its strong play in CUSA matches, currently with an 8-1 mark in regular season meetings. The team owns a 10-2 CUSA record including postseason with both losses against FIU.
The team looks to continue strong play against the Hilltoppers, currently holding a 2-0 mark in the all-time series. Liberty swept WKU 4-0 in its first match in over 10 years after topping the Hilltoppers 5-0 in 2013.
