
Liberty Pounds Out a Season-High for Hits in 13-4 Win at Virginia Tech

All nine Flames in the Liberty lineup had at least one hit in the game, and five had two or more in the contest.
Left fielder Nick Barone went 4-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and scored three times for the Flames in the contest.
Flames first baseman Michael Gibson, second baseman Easton Swofford and shortstop Tanner Marsh each had three hits apiece in the game. Gibson drove in three runs and scored twice, while Swofford had an RBI and scored a run. Marsh ripped two doubles, drove in a run and scored twice.
After the host Hokies took a 2-0 lead, the Flames plated four runs in the fourth inning and then sent 11 men to the plate in the sixth, scoring six runs to take control of the contest.
Liberty moves 26-19 overall. Virginia Tech drops to 27-18.
