The host 49ers broke a 3-3 tie on a home run in the seventh by shortstop Connor Maryniak and added an insurance run in the eighth for the victory.
Charlotte took a 3-0 lead over the first two innings of the contest only to see Liberty strike for three runs in the third to tie the contest at 3-3.
In his first start as a Flame, designated hitter Michael Gibson had two hits and drove in two runs in the contest. Shortstop Tanner Marsh also had two hits and scored a run for Liberty.
Liberty falls for the third consecutive game and drops to 19-11. Charlotte has won four straight games and moves to 15-12.
