Josh Ryan, last year's CUSA Men's Golfer of the Year, is playing some of his best golf of the season heading into next week's championship and the league has honored him for his strong play.
ย ย ย ย ย
Ryan has been named the final CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week award winner of the 2024-25 season. The weekly honor was announced earlier today.
ย ย ย ย ย
Ryan will enter next week's CUSA Men's Golf Championship following a runner-up finish at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial earlier this week.
ย ย ย ย ย
The junior carded a 3-under par 210 (69-70-71) on the Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va.
ย ย ย ย ย
Ryan finished two shots off the overall individual pace set by Florida State's Luke Clanton (5-under par 208), who is the No. 3 ranked individual golfer in the country. He also shared second place with three other golfers, including No. 9 ranked Ben James from Virginia.
ย ย ย ย ย
The native of Norristown, Pa., led Liberty to a fourth-place finish where the Flames only trailed the three nationally ranked teams. The fourth-place team finish was Liberty's best team finish of the 2024-25 season.
ย ย ย ย ย
Ryan led the 72-man field with 16 birdies. He also ranked fourth in the field in par-4 scoring (4.00 scoring average) and third in par-5 scoring (4.42 scoring average). He opened the event with a 2-under par 69, his fourth sub-70 round of the season.
