
Men’s Tennis Hosts Gardner-Webb, Travel to William & Mary over Spring Break

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty is set for a pair of matches over spring break welcoming Gardner-Webb (12-3) on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Liberty Tennis Complex and travels to take on William & Mary (3-4) on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Wednesday's match will be held at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Courts in Williamsburg, Va., and will be streamed live via Playsight.
The Flames are coming off a 2-1 stint at the Diablos College Invitational (Feb. 28, March 1) hosted by Arizona State including victories over UTSA (4-0) and No. 68 Utah State (4-1).
The team earned their first ITA national ranking of the year on March 4 as the No. 72 team in the country. The Flames have played against seven teams this season with a current ITA ranking.
Liberty is meeting Gardner-Webb for the first time since 2020 as they look to gain an advantage in the all-time series. The former Big South foes have split 20 matches playing one another. The Flames have also split the all-time series with the Tribe after 14 matchups. Liberty bested William & Mary 4-3 on March 23.
