Men’s Tennis Hosts Nine-Team Liberty Dual Across Weekend

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Tennis Complex will play host to 12 matches this weekend as the men's tennis team hosts the third annual Liberty Dual this weekend. Matches begin at the Liberty Tennis Complex on Friday at 9 a.m. and conclude on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Liberty will host eight of the top teams from the region, including top-ranked Virginia. Also joining the event will be Charlotte, Elon, Penn, Richmond, VCU, William & Mary and UNCW.
Matches will be played simultaneously at the Liberty Tennis Complex between the stadium courts and upper courts. Extra matches will be played in the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center, which will also be used in case of inclement weather.
This will be the second event of the fall season for Liberty, but the first to include the full roster. The Flames sent three, Rodrigo Santiago Arraez, Siwanat Auytayakul and Benjamin Sparks to compete at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., last weekend.

Flames News & Notes
- Liberty will be debuting three additions to the 2026-27 roster. Freshmen Owen Guistwite and Angel Veliz will be playing in their first collegiate matches. Nate Pitts, a junior, will be making his Liberty debut after transferring from Clemson.
- The Flames return six athletes, including Rodrigo Santiago Arraez, Siwanat Auytayakul, David Ekpenyong, Chase Robinson, Benjamin Sparks and Guy Vorwerk.
- Liberty will be hosting the event for the eighth time in the decade. The tournament has gone by the names 'Liberty University Invitational' and 'Liberty Fall Hidden Dual'. Charlotte, Elon, Penn, Virginia and William & Mary will be attending the event for the third consecutive season.
