No. 20 Liberty Welcomes Longwood for Wednesday Matchup

Liberty (27-6), coming off of a 7-2 road swing, returns home for eight out of the next nine games, beginning with a Wednesday game against former Big South rival Longwood (6-21).

- From 2011-19, Liberty (2011, 2018) and Longwood (2013, 2015-17, 2019) combined to win seven of the nine Big South Tournament titles. Since 2019, Longwood has not won a Big South tournament, while Liberty has made four straight Regional appearances since then (2021-24).

Savannah Woodard (.327) is second on the team in homers (6) and RBI (26). Brooke Roberts (.340, 2 HR, 22 RBI) and Brynn McManus (.327, 4 HR, 23 RBI) have provided run production, while Paige Doerr bats .311. Freshman Alexia Carrasquillo bats .458 with four homers and 14 RBI in nine games played.
- 2024 NFCA All-Region second team pitcher Elena Escobar is 12-2 with a 1.78 ERA overall, tossing a one-hit shutout at Jax State on Friday, her fourth of the season. Four different Lady Flames have pitched at least one shutout. Kaylan Yoder (5-2, 2.20) allowed just one hit in a win at Jax State on Saturday, while Paige Bachman is 5-1 with a 2.84 ERA. Danner Allen (2-1, 1.85), making her first start since Feb. 26, allowed just one run on two hits at Jax State, Sunday. Tyler Oubre (3-0, 2.07) provides strong pitching depth as well.
