Six Liberty pitchers combined to scatter seven hits and keep the Virginia offense in check.
The Flames took the lead with single runs in the fourth and the fifth innings for a 4-2 advantage. Liberty tacked on an insurance run in the eighth for a 5-2 edge.
First baseman Jaxon Sorenson had a two-run single and third baseman Landon Scilly had two RBI with a single and a sacrifice fly.
With the win, Liberty snaps a two-game losing streak and finishes its longest homestand of the season with a 7-2 mark. The Flames move to 18-8 on the year. Virginia falls for the fifth consecutive game and drops to 12-11 overall.
