• The Liberty Flames return home to start a nine-game homestand this weekend, their longest of the season. The Flames will host the Princeton Tigers for a four-game series, beginning Friday at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium. The two teams have never met on the baseball diamond. It will be the first time the Flames have played an Ivy League team hosting Columbia for a four-game series in March of 2008.

•  The junior college transfer who has started every game this season for the Flames at either first or third base is currently fifth in the conference in home runs (5), sixth in RBI (17) and ninth in runs scored. • Sorenson is also the conference leader with 15 walks.
• The Idaho Fall, Id., native has hit .286 with 17 RBI and 18 runs scored. He leads the Flames with a .587 slugging percentage and has a .423 on base percentage which is second to teammate Riley DeCandido.
