
Liberty Softball Maintains Top 25 Rankings

The Liberty softball team carries an eight-game winning streak into this week, while maintaining its place among the Top 25.
The Lady Flames appeared at No. 24 in the Softball America Top 25 Poll yesterday. Liberty is ranked No. 25 in the D1Softball Top 25. The team is listed No. 24 on the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
Liberty is listed among "others receiving votes" on the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Lady Flames have appeared in the Top 25 of at least one national poll in each of the last seven releases (2024 postseason, 2025 preseason, weeks 1-5). That is the longest streak of consecutive Top 25 appearances in program history.
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA's Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the regular season.
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of National and Local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames (20-4, 3-0 CUSA) went 12-1 during their 13-game homestand, which wrapped up with a three-game sweep of Kennesaw State. Liberty is 5-3 against Power Conference opponents this season and has a win over No. 12 Alabama to its credit.
Liberty heads to the road for their next 10 games, beginning with a contest at Marshall today at 6 p.m. Liberty's road swing also includes games at WKU (Friday through Sunday), Duke (doubleheader, March 18), North Carolina (March 19) and Jax State (March 21-23).
