
Liberty to Face No. 10 Clemson Tuesday and Wednesday

• After a three-game sweep of Central Michigan at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium this past weekend, Liberty enters the week on a four-game winning streak and is one game shy of tying their longest winning streak of the season. Liberty opened the season winning their first five games.
• Liberty will meet the No.10 Clemson Tigers on Tuesday and Wednesday. The two teams have not met since the opening of the 2020 season in a three-game series at Kingsmore Stadium, swept by Clemson. The season was later canceled due to COVID-19.
• Four of the Flames' first eight scheduled road games are against teams that are or were ranked in D1Baseball.com National rankings at the time. Liberty has already visited then No. 12 NC State (Feb. 18) and then No. 17 Duke (Feb. 26) and enters the week 4-2 on the road. Clemson will be the Flames' third nationally ranked opponent this season.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in the Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU. LeCroy played shortstop at Clemson from 1997-2000 and was an assistant with the Tigers from 2011-22.
Moore Named CUSA Player of the Week
• Catcher Tucker Moore has been selected the CUSA Player of the Week for March 10. Last week, Moore hit .500 with 10 RBI and hit his first two home runs of the season, helping the Flames post a 4-0 week.Â
• Of his six hits on the week, he also had an RBI double and a two-run triple for a 1.250 slugging percentage.Â
• The catcher started the week by hitting his first two home runs of the year. He blasted his first home run of the season, a two-run home run, in the eighth inning of a 4-1 win at Campell last Tuesday. On Friday, Moore gave Liberty the lead against Central Michigan with a grand slam in the fifth inning of the Flames' 9-5 victory at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
• Moore continued to drive in runs on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore went 3-for-3 with three RBI in Liberty's 12-4 victory over Central Michigan. The three-hit game was his first of the year. In the game, the catcher had a two-run triple.
• The Castle Rock, Colo., native finished the week by knocking in his 10th run of the week with an RBI double as the Flames completed a sweep of Central Michigan with an 8-2 victory.
Tiger Ties
• Liberty Head Coach Bradley LeCroy returns to his alma this week. LeCroy played short-stop for Clemson from 1997-2000 under legendary Tigers Head Coach Jack Leggett. LeCroy was the starting shortstop on the 2000 Tigers College World Series team and earned his bachelor's degree from Clemson in May of 2001.
• LeCroy returned to Clemson in 2011 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, helping guide Clemson to nine straight NCAA Regional appearances from 2011-19. He also served as the assistant until leaving to become the head coach at VCU in 2022. LeCroy was first on staff with the Tigers as a volunteer assistant from 2003-05.
• Liberty associate head coach/pitching coach Andrew See also served as an assistant coach/pitching coach at Clemson from 2016-2022.
• Flames senior outfielder Camden Troyer began his collegiate career at Clemson in 2022.Â
