Liberty’s Combrinck Named to 2025 NFHCA Senior Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty field hockey senior Lou Combrinck has been selected to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Team.
Combrinck is one of 38 honorees on the NFHCA Senior Team. The NFHCA provides a select group of student-athletes with the opportunity to be recognized and celebrated for their outstanding senior performances. College seniors are nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and selected by a NFHCA committee each fall. This honor reflects not only their performances throughout the senior season also their enduring impact on and off the field. Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.
Combrinck wrapped up her highly successful four-year Liberty career this fall. The forward/midfielder from Hillcrest, South Africa was an All-BIG EAST first team honoree this year, her second straight year earning All-BIG EAST distinction (second team in 2024). She also earned 2025 BIG EAST Championship Most Outstanding Player and All-Tournament team recognition.
Liberty has featured four NFHCA Senior Team selections in the last three seasons. Last year, Reagan Underwood earned a spot on the listing. In 2023, Azul Iritxity Irigoyen and Bethany Dykema garnered inclusion on the NFHCA Senior Team.
