
Field Hockey’s Isaacs Selected to South African Junior World Cup Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty field hockey freshman Paris-Gail Isaacs has been selected to the South African 2025 Women's Junior World Cup roster.
Isaacs and South Africa will compete in the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile, Dec. 1-13. This will mark South Africa's ninth appearance at the global junior showcase. Isaacs played for South Africa at the 2024 Paris Olympics and was the youngest member of the national team.
Isaacs, a midfielder/defender for No. 6-ranked Liberty, appeared in 16 games with 14 starts during the fall 2025 campaign, her first with the Lady Flames. Isaacs helped Liberty finish the year with a 17-3 overall mark, 7-0 BIG EAST record and No. 6 ranking in the final NCAA Field Hockey RPI listing. Isaacs and the Lady Flames won the 2025 BIG EAST regular season title as well as the 2025 BIG EAST Championship crown.
Isaacs finished with two assists on the year. Her second assist of the season came on Josefina Tomasi's game-winning goal against Villanova in the BIG EAST Championship semifinals, Nov. 7.
Isaacs will be making her second Junior World Cup appearance after competing with South Africa at the event in 2023. Isaacs and South Africa are in Pool D alongside England, Austria and China for the expanded 24-team tournament.
