LYNCHBURG, Va. – A point guard hailing from Idaho, Trinity Holsinger has signed with the Liberty women's basketball team for the 2026-27 academic year.
Trinity Holsinger (G, 5-7, Eagle, Idaho)
Edge Sports Academy senior point guard Holsinger got off to a flying start to her high school basketball career.
She led her Cole Valley Christian squad to back-to-back state top-five finishes as a freshman and sophomore, earning all-state honors each year. Holsinger was the only sophomore to earn Idaho 2A first team all-state recognition in 2023-24, a season which saw her average 15.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.5 spg.
"I am humbled and excited to be signing with Liberty women's basketball," said Holsinger. "I am so grateful for the incredible coaching staff and team, excited for what the future holds."
What They're Saying About Trinity Holsinger
"Trinity is a remarkable player whose work ethic and dedication on and off the court are truly inspiring. Her IQ and sharp shooting, especially from beyond the arc, speaks for itself, but it's her character and faith that truly set her apart. Liberty University is getting a player with a heart for the game and a heart for Christ."
Alexis Sherard, Liberty Women's Basketball Head Coach
"Trinity is a one-of-a-kind player and person. Her IQ, shooting skills, ability to control the floor, and her drive to guard the best player on the other team are all traits that make her one of the top players in the state. But Trinity's real character shines off the court. The way she carries herself as a person, a teammate, and as a person of faith is truly admirable and sets a standard for everyone around her to follow. We are going to miss her here. Liberty is getting a great one."
Jeremy Munroe, Eagle High School Girls' Basketball Head Coach
"I've had the pleasure of coaching and training Trinity Holsinger since 8th grade, and it's been incredible to watch her grow both on and off the court. Trinity is one of the most dedicated and self-motivated athletes I've ever worked with. She has always put in the extra time to chase her goals, and seeing her commit to Liberty — truly her dream school — is a special moment for everyone who has been part of her journey. Liberty is not only getting a talented basketball player, but an even better person. Trinity is a high IQ point guard with excellent vision, a natural feel for the game, and the ability to both distribute and score. She's a knockdown shooter and a steady presence on the floor — a true leader. I'm excited to see all that she accomplishes at the next level."
