
Liberty to Host SIUE for Final Home Game of the Season

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Liberty Flames men's soccer team will welcome the SIUE Cougars to Osborne Stadium for an Ohio Valley Conference match on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. The contest will be Liberty's final regular-season home game of 2025 and the last home game for Flames head coach Kelly Findley, who is retiring from coaching at the end of the 2025 season.
Saturday's contest will match the current second and third-place teams in the OVC standings. Liberty enters the match in second place with a 3-1-3 conference record and 12 points, while SUIE, the two-time defending OVC champion, enters the contest in third place with a 3-2-2 league record and 11 points.
The Flames, 7-3-5 overall, return home after tying both of their OVC matches at Eastern Illinois 2-2 this past Thursday and Western Illinois 1-1 this past Sunday. Liberty is unbeaten in its previous four games, posting a 1-0-3 record during the stretch. Three of the four matches were on the road.

- Midfielder Spencer Moler scored the first goal of the season and also recorded an assist in Liberty's 2-2 tie at Eastern Illinois on Thursday. The sophomore has been a fixture in the Flames' midfield this season, starting every game.
- Defender Perry Blay leads the Flames with six assists. Blay is tied for second in the OVC in assists.
- Tyler Beck has played every minute in goal this season for the Flames. The sophomore has posted a 1.40 goals-against average and has a 0.687 save percentage over 1,350 minutes
- Head coach Kelly Findley is in his seventh season at Liberty. He has announced his retirement from coaching at the end of the 2025 season.
