LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Liberty swimming & diving team leads both Campbell and UNC Asheville after day one of this weekend's tri meet, Friday at Liberty Natatorium.
The Lady Flames lead UNC Asheville by a 100-86 score, while holding a 152-31 advantage over Campbell. UNC Asheville leads Campbell, 151-32

These three teams will reconvene at 11 a.m. tomorrow morning for the final session of this weekend's meet. Liberty will honor its 10 seniors with a pre-meet ceremony. Tomorrow's session will appear live on ESPN+.

- So. Kamryn Cannings – 50 freestyle (23.26); 200 butterfly (2:02.93)
- Sr. Grace Isaacs – 400 IM (4:26.35)
- Sr. Sydney Stricklin – 100 backstroke (55.75)
- So. Shannon Icard – Three-meter diving (6) (262.90)
- 200 freestyle relay – 1:34.89 (Aly Bozzuto – 24.31; Kate Baker – 24.14; Sydney Stricklin 23.42; Kamryn Cannings – 23.02)
- Today, Liberty and UNC Asheville split the relays, while the Lady Flames won four individual swimming events and three-meter diving. The Bulldogs won three individual races.
- Liberty's Kamryn Cannings kept her unbeaten 2025 calendar year going, winning both the 50 free (23.26) and 200 fly (2:02.93). The Lady Flames also got individual-event wins from Grace Isaacs (400 IM), Sydney Stricklin (100 backstroke) and Shannon Icard (three-meter diving).
- Today's relays were both closely contested. Liberty won the 400 medley relay by 0.47 over UNC Asheville to open the evening (3:48.35 to 3:48.82). UNC Asheville edged out the Lady Flames in the 200 free relay to end the session, 1:34.91 to 1:35.08.
- Liberty posted 1-2 finishes in both the 50 free (Kamryn Cannings, Sydney Stricklin) and three-meter diving (Shannon Icard, Maddie Freece), while UNC Asheville went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke.
- UNC Asheville's Anna Marcotti narrowly defeated Liberty's Shelby Kahn, 1:51.65 to 1:51.91.
- The closest event of the evening was the 200 fly, decided by just 0.04 between champion Kamryn Cannings (2:02.93) and runner-up Riley Edmundson (2:02.97) of UNC Asheville.
