Hot-Shooting Liberty Holds Off LA Tech, 75-64

LYNCHBURG, Va. – On a cold, snowy Saturday in Lynchburg, Liberty used hot shooting from beyond the arc to down Louisiana Tech, 75-64. Six of the Lady Flames' 11 three-pointers came in the first quarter, enabling the home team to lead from wire to wire at Liberty Arena.
Liberty's sixth straight home victory boosts the team's mark to 10-5 overall and 3-1 in CUSA action, tying the Lady Flames with FIU for second place following the first two weekends of conference play. All 11 Liberty players found the scoring column as the Lady Flames' reserves outscored their counterparts from LA Tech, 39-12.
The Lady Techsters fall to 9-6 overall and 2-2 in CUSA after dropping their fifth consecutive road contest. LA Tech committed 17 turnovers which led to 23 Liberty points, as the Lady Techsters are now 0-3 all-time versus the Lady Flames.
