
Liberty Women’s Soccer Earns the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lady Flames soccer program qualified for the Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches. The award recognizes collegiate teams for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year.
A total of 434 men's and women's soccer teams posted a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher to receive the recognition. The Lady Flames were among 253 women's soccer programs to garner the award.
The Liberty women's soccer team posted a 3.48 GPA last year. Goalkeeper Ainsley Leja was named to the 2023 CUSA All-Academic team. Along with Leja, midfielders Rachel DeRuby and Saydie Holland, forward Ivy Garner and defenders Lena James and Elise Graf were all part of the 2023 CSC Women's Soccer Academic All-District team. 26 Lady Flames were included on the CUSA Academic Honor Roll while seven were rewarded with the CUSA Academic Medal.
