
Scott, Colavito and Coss Receives Selections to CSC Academic All-District® Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty lacrosse's Kelly Scott, Katie Colavito, and Kendall Coss each received selections to the 2023-24 College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team for their efforts in the classroom, as released today by CSC.
All three student-athletes are first-time honorees on the CSC Academic All-District® team. To earn inclusion on the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a starter or key reserve, have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games, or have started 66 percent of the team's total games and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
Scott, Colavito and Coss are each eligible for consideration for the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Team, with voting beginning for the teams. The first, second, and third team Academic All-America honorees for the at-large division will be released on July 16.
Scott, a recent graduate, received her master's degree in sports management: administration in May. The Roswell, Ga. native secured a 3.84 cumulative GPA in addition to receiving also earning a bachelor's degree in the same study. Scott was a three-time ASUN Academic Honor Roll recipient, is a three-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection and was included on the 2024 CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2024.
On the field, Scott shined in her senior season. The senior ranked fourth on the team with 26 goals along with nine assists (35 points) while starting every game for the Lady Flames last season. The attacker also tallied 21 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Colavito collected a 3.85 cumulative GPA in her major of exercise science: fitness. The sophomore received inclusion on the ASUN Academic Honor Roll in 2023 and earned the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal in 2024.
The midfielder stood out for Liberty last season, leading the team with 55 draw controls, and was second on the team with 40 ground balls. The Wake Forest, N.C. native also ranked tied for second on the team with 32 goals along with five assists (37 points) while starting all 18 games.
Coss earned a 3.92 cumulative GPA in her major of law and policy: pre-law. The sophomore received inclusion on the ASUN Academic Honor Roll in 2023 and earned the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal in 2024.
The midfielder played in 17 games for Liberty, making nine starts. Coss scored a goal and won 22 draw controls, grabbed nine ground balls, and forced three caused turnovers.
