BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 10 LSU scored in every inning in which it batted tonight, defeating Liberty 9-4 on Saturday at Tiger Park.    Â
With the win, the Tigers (38-13) clinched this weekend's three-game series. Liberty fell to 31-22 on the season with its fourth straight loss.

- LSU drew 10 walks in the game, including eight in the first three innings. Four out of those eight batter who drew walks during that span scored, as the Tigers led 5-1 after three.
- The Tigers pulled added four runs over the next two innings, taking an 8-2 lead into the sixth. The Lady Flames rallied with two outs in the top of the sixth, as Raigan Barrett's two-run double made it 8-4. Kelley Lynch hit KK Madrey and walked Brooke Roberts. Raelin Chaffin came on with the bases loaded and struck out Rachel Craine to escape the jam.
- LSU outhit Liberty 10-4 for the game. The Tigers left 11 runners on base, compared to five stranded for the Lady Flames.
- Lynch (7-2) earned the win, allowing four runs on four hits, walking four and striking out two in 5 2/3 innings. Chaffin earned her second save, tossing 1 1/3 hitless innings with one strikeout.
- Kaylan Yoder (10-9) drew the loss, allowing five runs on five hits, walking seven and fanning two in 2 1/3 innings. Paige Bachman gave up two runs on two hits, with one walk in 2/3 of an inning. Destrehan, La., native Tyler Oubre pitched the final three innings, yielding two runs on three hits while walking two.
- Raeleen Gutierrez batted 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Taylor Pleasants went 1-for-3 with a homer, three RBI and one run scored. Karli Petty hit 2-for-4 with a homer, one RBI and two runs scored. Madyson Manning went 2-for-2 with one run scored.
- For Liberty, Raigan Barrett batted 2-for-2 with a career-high two doubles and two RBI. Megan Fortner went 1-for-1 with two walks, one homer and two runs scored. Brynn McManus hit 1-for-4 with a homer, one RBI and one run scored.
- LSU leads the all-time series against Liberty 5-0, including 3-0 at Tiger Park. These two teams last met in 2021, when the Tigers defeated Liberty twice at a tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
- The Lady Flames are 3-9 this season against Top 25 teams.
- Roupe has reached base safely in each of her last 14 games, the longest reached-base streak by any Lady Flame so far this season. Â
- In the last four games, McManus has batted 8-for-17 (.538) with two doubles, one triple, two homers, five RBI and four runs scored, as her current five-game hitting streak is the longest of her career.
- Liberty's 10 walks allowed tonight were its most since allowing 10 free passes at Virginia on April 23, 2014.
- Fortner's homer gave a new single-season personal best with 11 homers this year. She has hit 39 home runs between her time at Jax State and Liberty, the most career homers by any active Lady Flame.
- Both of Barrett's doubles tonight came off of former teammate Kelley Lynch, as Barrett and Lynch were both on Washington's team in 2021.
- Current Liberty junior KK Madrey began her career at LSU in 2022 before transferring to Liberty, where she has been an all-conference outfielder.Â
