BOSTON, Mass. – Liberty's Warren Barrett earned second team All-America honors in the men's shot put at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships for the second consecutive season, Saturday afternoon. His top mark of 59-0 was good for a 16th-place finish at the TRACK at New Balance.
The redshirt senior from Montego Bay, Jamaica achieved his top throw of the day in round three of a competition won by sophomore Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan of Ole Miss at 69-0.75.
Barrett becomes the second Liberty thrower ever to collect multiple All-America honors, as he previously finished 15th at 59-3 in 2023. He joins former teammate and current Liberty assistant Kevin Nedrick in that exclusive club.
Barrett closes out a successful season which saw him win four of six shot put competitions, punctuated by a CUSA title. As a result, he was voted CUSA Male Field Performer of the Meet.
