Hess Named to CSC Academic All-District® Women’s Basketball Team

LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the second consecutive season, Liberty's Emma Hess has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® women's basketball team.
With this honor, Hess moves on to the national ballot where she will be eligible for selection to the CSC Academic All-America® Team. The 2023-24 CSC Academic All-America® Division I Women's Basketball Team will be announced in April.
A junior from Beavercreek, Ohio, Hess collects her second academic award this month. The criminal justice major with a 3.97 cumulative GPA was previously voted to the CUSA Women's Basketball All-Academic Team.
On the court, Hess helped the Lady Flames reach the CUSA Women's Basketball Championship title game during their first season as a league member. The first team All-CUSA honoree set a Liberty single-season record with 76 three-pointers, connecting at a 39.0 percent clip from beyond the arc (No. 2 in program history).
