
Reid and Ryan Lead Flames During Final Day at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Brett Reid and Josh Ryan saved their best golf for the final round at The Hayt on Monday, allowing the pair to secure top-20 finishes.
The pair combined to card eight birdies during their final trip around the Sawgrass Country Club (par 72, 6,966 yards).
With their strong rounds to end the North Florida-hosted event, Ryan finished tied for 15th place with a 2-over par 218 (74-75-69). This is the seventh event the sophomore has led for Liberty during the 2023-24 season.
Ryan carded five of his team-high 11 birdies of the tournament during Monday's final round, including three of his final holes of play.
Reid's best finish of the spring season and second-best of the year was just two shots behind Ryan. Reid finished tied for 20th place with a 4-over par 220 (74-75-71).
The junior paced Liberty during the tournament with 34 pars and recorded three of his eight birdies during the event on Monday.
Overall, the Flames finished the event in 10th place with a 35-over par 899 (297-308-294), carding its best round of the event on Monday.
No. 1 North Carolina held on to edge No. 21 Alabama for the team title. The Tar Heels were the only team to finish under par in the event, posting a winning score of 3-under par 861 (289-283-289).
Alabama finished in second place with a 1-over par 865 (282-293-290). No. 13 Virginia was the only team to find red figures on Monday, carding a 3-under par 285 to finish in third place with an overall 4-over par 868 (294-289-285).
