
No. 18 Richmond Drops Liberty at Home 18-11

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Jordan Sheive's four-goal output was not enough to get the Lady Flames past No. 18 Richmond, falling 18-11. The contest was held at the Liberty Lacrosse Field Saturday afternoon.
Liberty's record drops to 1-3 to begin 2024, while Richmond improves to 4-0.
The Spiders used a 10-goal first half to keep a safe lead over the Lady Flames in the contest. Liberty narrowed the deficit to a 14-9 difference at the end of the third quarter, before Richmond tallied four consecutive goals to start the fourth and seal the victory.
Sheive's four scores in the contest included her first goal in 2024. Mackenzie Lehman added four points (2 g, 2 a) including helpers on two of Sheive's tallies. Midfielder Katie Colavito (two goals) recorded a game-high eight draw controls and defender Katelyn Weissend tied a game-high four caused turnovers.
Liberty falls to 1-2 at home in 2024 with both losses coming against ranked foes (also against No. 16 Virginia, Feb. 9). The Lady Flames still seek its first victory over the Spiders, currently winless in 10 meetings.
