CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels used a six-goal opening frame to eventually down Liberty 19-6 Tuesday night at Dorrance field.
Liberty falls to 0-2 in 2024 and 0-4 all-time when facing North Carolina (1-1).
The Lady Flames' Mackenzie Lehman netted three goals, including career goal No. 100. The senior is currently eighth in program history with 102 career goals. Lehman also has 39 assists and 141 career points.
North Carolina's Darcy Felter led all players with four goals and two assists (six points). The Tar Heels' Reilly Casey matched Felter's point total with two goals and four assists.
The Tar Heels dominated the game from the opening draw. North Carolina edged Liberty 24-4 in total draw controls, leading to dominant possession time.
