Women’s Soccer Adds Carly Keene to 2025 Roster

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty women's soccer and head coach Lang Wedemeyer have announced the addition of junior midfielder Carly Keene out of Lehigh via transfer. She marks the fourth addition to next year's roster following the signings of three freshmen, Keely Eslinger, Lauren Flax and Brooklyn Jenkins.
Keene joins the Liberty Flames after spending the past two seasons at Lehigh. As a Hawk, Keene saw action in 30 games including 13 appearances as a freshman.
The midfielder scored her first career goal on Oct. 11, 2023, in her first year at Lehigh. Her contribution garnered her recognition as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. As a sophomore, the midfielder made 17 appearances including eight starts.
Before attending Lehigh, Keene attended Penn Manor High School in Millersville, Pa. Keene was named to the all-state team, all-league first team and was named the Penn Manor Outstanding Senior Female Athlete award while in high school.
Liberty received key contributions from its two transfer additions in 2024. Defender Kayla Magee (South Carolina) was selected to the CUSA All-Conference first team, leading a conference-best defense, ranking No. 12 in the country with a 0.62 goals-against average (GAA), making 21 starts for the Lady Flames. Goalkeeper Grace Workman (Longwood) was named to the Conference USA All-Conference third team and ranked No. 6 in the country with a 0.44 GAA, making 12 starts for Liberty.
